 Bia — Greek Goddess of Force, Power & Strength
Bia (pronounced 'BEE-ah') is one of the lesser-known but fiercely compelling figures of Greek mythology. Daughter of the Titan Pallas and the river goddess Styx, she is the personification of raw force — not just physical strength, but the unrelenting inner drive that compels us to act, to push through, to stand firm.
Sister to Nike (Victory), Kratos (Strength), and Zelus (Zeal), Bia stood as one of Zeus's four winged enforcers, always at his side. In myth she is often silent — and yet utterly decisive. She acts. She doesn't deliberate. In the famous story of Prometheus, it was Bia alone who possessed the strength to bind him to the rock — a task even her brother Kratos could not complete alone.
Bia is not the goddess of aggression. She is the goddess of sovereign, grounded, purposeful power. The force that rises not from fear or ego, but from deep conviction.
